Bobby Williams and Mark Fernald joined Randy Filiault on Keene’s WKBK. Related, the Keene Sentinel published a long article about NH’s overreliance on property taxes to fund important services concluding the “NH Advantage” isn’t when property taxes come due.
But when property tax bills hit mailboxes in May and October, those advantages suddenly ring heavy for many Granite Staters.
Without any other broad-based tax or large revenue source supporting education, New Hampshire’s property taxes are among the highest in the nation.
Our colleagues, Ted Morgan and Rep. David Preece, have done a great job placing Op Eds about the plan in newspapers across the state.
