Proposal shifts $2b from local to state. Doubt out of staters will pull out. Mountains, lakes and ocean not replaceable. Also 65,000 in bound commuters pay 3%. They won’t leave because it will be credit against their MA/ME/VT income taxes. Those states will have to adjust.

I really like the 3-3 plan's focus on middle-class relief and using existing DRA infrastructure to keep admin low. To make it bulletproof against future bloat or local add-ons wiping out savings, what about adding explicit guardrails—like a statutory cap on DRA overhead (e.g., 2-3% of revenue) and a limit on local education levies (e.g., no more than inflation + student growth without voter override)?

Much appreciate your hard work and great concept, Andru.

I am forwarding the plan to friends for their calculator results and comments.

Thank you!

How much will your proposal raise compared to what you are proposing to eliminate? NH has always believed in making out-of-stayers provide the State's revenue stream. Won't your proposal actually reduce the amount they contribute since most of them have financial mobility and their homes in NH are vacation homes thus avoiding income taxes? You need to come up with a way to increase the property tax on second homes. That might also address the lack of housing for NH residents. "Don't tax me, don't tax thee, tax the man behind the tree."

Hi Andrew, I like your plan, I used the NH Calculator and it would save us 3,143 in property taxes. Three retired adults live here and our taxes in 2025 total are 9,357.00. We are all retired and live on Social Security mostly. I only make 15,000. A YEAR on SS and the other 2 people make about the same. We live in an old farmhouse in Troy with 3 .5 acres and this is unsustainable costing we elderly 780.00 per month, this is outrageous. New Hampshire is the 4th highest state for property tax in our nation. I ALSO BELIEVE AS THE LIVE FREE OR DIE STATE WHICH I can't stand this logo, SHOULD LEGALIZE ALL CANNAIBIS PRODUCTS AND TAXES GO TO STATE EDUCATION. Sign me up as a supporter as well.
